East End Surf Kid’s Club 2024

What it’s all about.

  • Fun.

Above all, we aim to have fun! We accommodate all skill levels spanning 6 - 13 years of age and have a little something for everyone. Along with building skills, knowledge and confidence as young surfers, watermen and waterwomen, we plan to go above and beyond to maximize fun in and out of the water. Activities and extras include stretching & warm up, analyzing surf conditions together, boogie boarding, beach games, team building activities, snack breaks (provided by EESC), the occasional swag bag from partnering brands, and of course maximum shred time. We don’t just promise to have fun, we guarantee it!

  • Confidence.

Confidence is key when it comes to surfing. Plain and simple. As an individual sport, it all falls on the surfer, so focusing on self-confidence is super important. We aim to help kids find the confidence in themselves to be great watermen and women. We want our students to be sure of their ocean knowledge and decisions in the water - to be safe and smart. Maybe it’s the confidence to choose the right wave or how hard to paddle. A lot of kids are scared to surf with their peers or in a crowd. Maybe it’s finding the confidence to help another surfer in a bad situation. We want all our students to have the confidence in themselves to know what they can and cannot handle. Confidence is what makes good, safe surfers and it comes in all different shapes and sizes. As surfers, we are often humbled by or have benefited from the comradery and life skills surfing can provide. We want all our surfers to experience the same. In the end, we want kids to walk away from our camp knowing they had fun, and hopefully with the confidence they need to surf on their own. We as instructors hope that reinforcement of confidence and positivity impacts other facets of their lives outside of the ocean as well.

  • Skills.

We want to make sure everyone who attends our surf camp walks away knowing and feeling like they have improved. We will work with each child to focus on their individual skills and needs in becoming a better surfer. There will be groups accommodating all skill levels from beginner basics to honing intermediate skills onto advanced coaching. Everyone is welcome! Beyond that, we won’t just be focusing on improving surfing skills. We aim to help kids for the long term by helping them find confidence in themselves, while building social skills, engaging in team work activities, and learning that being a good person is just as important as being a good surfer - and that they actually go hand and hand.
