Grom Trips

Grom - /noun'/ - grom, shortened from grommet, is slang for a young, often gifted or talented surfer.

As we grow older, we've learned that there aren't many things out there that beat a good surf trip. Truthfully, it's the fuel that keeps the flame burning for us at EESC. With every year that passes, the groms we teach get bigger, more mature and better at surfing. With that, they find the motivation and curiosity to see what else surfing has to offer. The interest to get bigger waves or to wake up early when the waves are good. That itch to explore new breaks or dreaming of the day they'll get the wave their lives. They grow stronger and yearn to push their limits. They develop a drive to see where surfing can take them.

We love it! We encourage it! And that’s where we come in - to harness it and help provide these types of experiences.

With that in mind, we are now offering supervised, all-inclusive surf retreats for our young shredders. Your grom wants to go on a surf trip, but you don’t surf? We’ve got you covered. Send them with us to PR where we will surf til our arms fall off and do it in a safe environment. We'll coach them each session and teach them how to take their surfing to the next level. They'll learn what it's like to go on a real surf trip and travel with friends - one of life's greatest gifts. We’ll explore the beautiful breaks, attractions and culture of Northwest Puerto Rico, and provide a safe, fun, and enriching travel experience your kid will remember forever.

Since the inception of EESC we've been waiting for the day we'd be able to make these trips happen, and we're proud that day has finally come. Starting school break of February of '24!
